Why consistent fingerprints matter more than random ones

It is tempting to think that the more random a browser fingerprint looks, the better. In practice the opposite is true.

Sites check for agreement

Modern sites rarely look at a single value. They compare signals: does the user agent's operating system match the fonts? Does the GPU make sense for that OS? Is the screen size plausible for the device class? Do the client hints agree with the user agent?

A random mix fails these checks immediately.

Templates instead of randomness

Our profiles are generated from device templates — combinations observed on real devices. Within a template some values vary (screen size, core count, memory), but always inside realistic ranges, so every profile looks like a normal device of its kind.

Consistency over time

A real device doesn't change its GPU between visits. A profile keeps the same fingerprint for its whole life unless you deliberately regenerate it.
